![]() Things take a turn for the worse and Jack gets forced into an unfortunate situation involving the military, which works well to get you familiar with the game’s mechanics – both shooting and otherwise. It starts with the familiar failed experiment premise that leaves Jack Joyce (the protagonist, played by Shawn Ashmore), and Paul Serene (the antagonist, played by Aiden Gillan), with time manipulation abilities. Time travel/manipulation is always a great topic to touch upon in the realm of sci-fi and Quantum Break does an excellent job of tapping into that resource in a fresh way. ![]() ![]() ![]() The result? It’s actually a lot better than we imagined. Quantum Break takes things to a different level and gives you actual 20-minute live action episodes to fill you up on the story and the outcome of your in-game decisions. Live action cutscenes in games have always been looked down upon, mainly because it’s rarely done well.
